This is the logo for the entertainment company, Blizzard. It is well known for online games such as World of Warcraft, the Diablo series, Starcraft series, and Warcraft series. I think this logo is successful because the type that they have the company name in is rough and the shapes are somewhat distorted. It's an attractive logo to look at. The company name doesn't have a specific font, but identifont says that "ENTERTAINMENT" is in FF Din.

Blog Post 3
This is the logo for the clothing brand Aeropostale, as I'm sure everyone knows. I like the coloring and weight of this specific logo. The bold nature of it combined with the capital letters creates a strong visiual effect. This logo is in the Compacta font.

Blog Post 3

This is the album cover to an album just released by one of my favorite bands, Kamelot. The art as well as the type fit the mood of the album. It has a more dark, demonic sound. The type more represents the band than the album, as their sound is a mix of heavy metal and orchestral instruments. I Think that the elegant, almost cursive type, fits the band very well. I couldn't find what font the type is in.

Weekly Blog 2
I saw this today when I went to the mall, as I always do! I never thought much about the logo, but I do love the style of the letters. They are elegant, in my opinion. I couldn't find out what the font that was used was.

Fenice Font
The Fenice font style was developed by Aldo Novarese. He was born in 1920 in Pontestura, Italy. In 1930 he went to the Sculoa Artieri Stampatori to study print. When he was sixteen he joined the Nebilolo foundry and in 1952 he became an art director at Nebilolo. In 1975, he left the Nebilolo foundry to become a freelance typeface designer. In 1977, he began working on Fenice and then ITC licensed it in 1980. Fenice was made in the design of Didot and Bodoni. Its' style is more condensed and has a larger x-height, giving it more visibility. It has very few difficulties that Didot and Bodoni had, which makes it incredibley easy to use.
